2012 US election's tax analysis

In spite of the weak economy and the record-low approval rating of Congress, the status quo in Washington has been preserved following the Nov. 6 election. President Obama won a second term, Republicans retained a strong majority in the House, and Senate Democrats - perhaps producing the biggest election night surprise - not only retained control, but added to their majority.
